Rio Facial Rejuvenator
The Facial Rejuvenator uses salon micro-current technology to help reduce the appearance and number of fine lines and wrinkles. The Facial Rejuvenator offers two salon treatments, EMS toning and Collagen Infusion.
EMS toning explained
EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) uses an electrical current to stimulate the muscles, this is known as passive exercise. This electrical current is similar to the electrical impulses produced by the brain to stimulate muscle tissue in active exercises. When a muscle contracts as a result of a unique EMS signal it creates a chemical reaction, which in turn utilizes glycogen, fat and other nutrients stored in the muscle.
The Facial Rejuvenator stimulates the face and neck muscles by generating rhythmic pulses that contract and relax the targeted muscle. The result is a firmer, more toned appearance of the skin, directly fighting the effects of aging and gravity.
Collagen Infusion explained
Collagen Infusion accelerates the skin’s absorption of collagen and sodium hyaluronate ions in the collagen serum formula. These ions are essential for the maintenance of firm and youthful skin. The Collagen Infusion programme is a more direct approach to targeting specific wrinkles.
Before you start
Before you begin the treatment it is a great idea to watch the DVD and read the user guide to get the most out of your Facial Rejuvenator.
Using the EMS toning programme
The EMS toning programme is designed specifically to target the most common problematic areas of the face and neck:
- Forehead
- Under eye bags
- Crows feet
- Cheeks
- Smile lines
- Lips
- Chin (And double chin)
- Saggy jowls
As with any new product it is a good idea to do a patch test on an inconspicuous area of your skin for possible skin reaction.
Remove all makeup from your face and neck. Fit the foam caps to the wand heads, turn the unit on and select the EMS Toning programme. Next dip the foam caps into the conductive gel to make sure you get good contact with the skin without it becoming irritating.
With both wands touching your skin follow the procedure for your selected area as outlined on the DVD and in the guide. Work your way around your face until you have done all the areas you want to treat.
Using the Collagen Infusion programme
To check you have no adverse reaction to the collagen treat a single wrinkle then wait a day before you do a full treatment.
Remove all makeup from your face and neck before you begin.
For all Collagen Infusion programmes you must remember which wand is which polarity. (More is explained on the DVD and in the guide). Fit the foam caps to the wand heads, turn the unit on and select the wrinkle zone to be treated, indicated on the face diagram on the unit.
Set the output mode to positive and start with the intensity control at low. Move the wands along the treatment area slowly until you are done. You can then move on to target other wrinkles by changing the wrinkle zone on the unit.
Recommended usage
We recommend using the Rio Facial Rejuvenator for a maximum of 4 minutes on any one treatment area and 20 minutes in total for any one side of your face and neck.
Treatments should initially be repeated every day alternating between Collagen Infusion and EMS toning for the first 20 sessions. Thereafter a simple maintenance programme of one treatment a week should be sufficient.
